Sumié Maeda


Originally from Hiroshima, Japan.

Sumie moved to NYC after receiving her BA from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. After performing on Broadway and in National Tours she began working with For The Record as assistant director and associate choreographer for FTR: BAZ in Los Angeles.

Off-Broadway: KISMET (Encores! at NY City Center / Princess Ababu) 1st Nat’l Tour: SOUTH PACIFIC (Liat) She gained her US Permanent Resident status due to her accomplishments in the arts in 2009.     SDC, AEA, SAG-AFTRA
